Jazz makes it very clear that Dean is the enemy, so Dean has to do his best to try to work himself back into Jazz’s life. When Jazz is asked to help his friend Eric conduct an interview, he has no idea he will come face to face with the man who destroyed him. He’s been touring for years, singing songs that should sound familiar to Jazz, since most of them are about him, one they even wrote together. Since then, Jazz hasn’t been able to trust men, and hasn’t been in love since his relationship with Dean ended without a word from the other boy.ĭean McQueen is a popular rockstar whose career recently took a hit when he was driven out of the closet. He had his own struggles, and their relationship was about inexperienced rushed sex in secret locations. Dean was only 16, and was just discovering what it meant to be attracted to another boy. It turns out, he’s still hurting from the love of his life, whom he met when he was just 14. He’s gorgeous and has no problem picking up men, but he never gets more involved than a one-night stand, and he’s not particular about who he lets use his body. I’ve been waiting a long time for Jazz to get his own story, and it absolutely was worth the long agonizing wait. You don’t have to have read the previous two books to love this one, though, so if you’re a fan of rockstar books, I cannot recommend this one enough. I am absolutely in love with Erica Pike’s Boston Boys series, and Black Hurricane is book #3.
